The streets of central city of Aachen, Germany

Located near the Dutch and Belgian borders, the city of Aachen has gained a reputation as an attractive city in the province of North-Rhein Westfalia, Germany. The residents of the city are proud of living in the city of Charlemagne. In fact the architecture style of the city shows signs of different historical periods. The medieval architecture is seen in the narrow streets of the old town. The cafes are spread around the streets and allies. This has made the city an attractive place for having a drink. The main architectural attraction of the city is the Aachen Cathedral, which was started to be built in 8th century. It was later completed through the centuries. The city has a population of about 259000 people.
